Our Australian Tawny shows the classic caramel treacle colour of a tawny style.

Amber with streaks of brown gold. Intense with subtle hints of oak and dried fruit. Balanced with a characteristic taste of almonds and hints of liquorice.

This Marsala is amber in colour with dark gold reflections. Aromas characteristic of great finesse, has hints of raisin and vanilla. The taste is warm and full-bodied, with elegant flavours of bitter almonds and raisins. This Old Dry Florio should be served at 10-12°C in a tulip glass of dessert wine size.

The Devil Tawny is predominately a blend of Shiraz and Grenache with a small amount of sweet Muscat blended in for perfume and complexity. The average age of the resultant blend is 20 years old. The Devil is deliciously rich and ethereal. The nose is brimming with roasted almonds and marzipan characters. The palate has the typical rancio characters evident from prolonged oak maturation and is supported by luscious flavours of boiled fruit cake and aged spices.

Ruby Ports are a blend of young, vibrant wines from different harvests. They are kept for an average of two to three years in oak vats before they are blended, fined and bottled ready to enjoy. Tawny Ports are a blend of young wines from various harvests, are kept for an average of two to three years in casks. They are lighter in colour than Ruby Ports and combine the fruitiness of young wines and the nuttiness derived from the maturation in seasoned oak casks. Cockburn's Special Reserve was originally introduced in 1969 as the first great Reserve Port, creating an entirely new Port category that was fundamental to the success of Port and the Douro over the following decades. Cockburn's Special Reserve is a very fine wine selected for its richness and concentration, from the finest vineyards in the Upper Douro and matured in oak casks for five years. This 10 Year Old Port is smooth, well balanced and mature and is ready for drinking now. Dow's 10 Years Old Tawny has a bright tawny colour. On the nose brimming with aromas of candied fruit and toffee, beautifully combined with some mature ripe fruit. On the palate vibrant nutty flavours, perfect balance and with a lovely long finish.

Dow's Tawny is a very fine and delicate style, with pretty red fruits balanced by nutty depth derived from an average of three years aging in small oak casks. Fonseca Tawny spends three years ageing in small wooden casks, generally holding about 630 litres. As it matures in cask, Tawny Port gradually loses the deep red 'ruby' colour of youth and takes on the seductive amber hue known as 'tawny'.
